How much power do PC,s use?

I need to run my pc and 17" lcd monitor on a 12 car battery using a 12-240v converter

Its a small ish 12v car battery

My PC has a 300w 240v power supply
My LCD monitor is 900w at 240v

I will be charging the battery from a 12v solar panel

How long can i run my PC for once the battery is full will it work at all this is for my caravan

Will it be better to but a 12v PC case and look for a 12v monitor.
Thanks for taking the time to reed this. Any hellp is welcome

Thats about 5 amps but you will use more in converting the energy to twelve volts. the S-panel will only help a little but the car battery alone would last a few hours. If the car is runniung it will recharge the battery and power the pc.

Not long ago, a topic came up and a member of a think tank was asked a very decent question with regards to inflatable solar cell materials - expandable surfaces with solar cell coatings, or high-tech ultra-thin solar cell materials attached. Would this indeed be a viable strategy and what sorts of applications might these types of devices be used for asked the inquisitive thinker. Okay so, this is a great question and since future conversion rates of various types of ultra-thin solar panels are in our future and being developed in R and D labs across the country, we can expect high yielding solar panels which will be nothing more than mere coatings, and constructed at the nano-thinknesses scale.

In fact, I'd say that this is absolutely a foregone conclusion the way I see it, so we will have inflatable solar panels for all sorts of things. Great for setting up a military base camps or research colonies on surface of Mars, Moons etc. - basically you drop it off roll-it-out and use it. It also makes sense for long-term (5-year flying dirigibles) as DARPA is requisitioning for research projects and these solar panel materials could be the skin of a dirigible, or a low-earth orbit satellite system.

Industrial uses are completely numerous in applications; how about bringing power to the middle of the Bolivian Salt Flat to collect lithium? How about a pool cover, seals the pool collects energy. Too many applications and transfer technologies to mention. Thankfully companies like Dupont, GE, and many others are already working on the rest of it and I bet this would be easy to make, and they could be deployed Air Bag Style.

For a blimp or balloon the inquisitive individual marvels; "Your dirigible would be cool or a hot air balloon having a propeller to assist in direction powered by the solar. And how about a backpacker recharging his gear as they walk - maybe future shirts that get solar energy that is a source to cool or heat the body."

Great concept, and of course, all these things already exist. You can buy a back pack to charge your GPS unit, cellphone, or other personal device. And there are many clothing type accessories with solar panel systems on them. Presently, they don't charge that much, but in the future as the conversion rates rise, they will be more than adequate and everyone will want such a system to power up their holographic smart phone or iPhone20.
